I will use this area to address common questions I receive and list some of the upcoming features I am thinking about adding. PLEASE feel free to email me with any feedback you have. I will not be adding features unless they will actually be used as the coding is very time consuming.
Will retirees still have access after the new registration system is implemented?
Yes, in fact I would like to add a few more features to keep retirees included. Please let me know if you have any ideas.
I want to help, what can I do?
I have no problem building the infrastructure of the site so everyone can benefit but updating information routinely is much harder. With a full time career, two childeren under 5, and secondary employment, I stay busy. If you are active or retired, I sure would appreciate any help I can get keeping everything up to date.
What kind of new features are you considering?
It is NOT a sure thing that I will add any or all of these, so PLEASE reach out to me if you think any are or are not a good idea. If they will not be used, there is no sense in building them. I have summarized them below.
IDEA #1
Adding an (all member visible) ID number look up. For example, any registered user could look up any ID number and see notes or add additional notes/comments for that ID number.
Example #1: Hey (name), hope all is well, would love to make contact, reach out to me at (phone number).
Example #2: (name) passed away on (date) the service is on (date).
Eample #3: (name) moved to (state).
Eample #4: A person posts on his or her own ID his contact information in case anyone wants to reach him.
Idea #2
Messages - you would be able to send a message to a ANY specific ID, regardless of rank. Only that specific user can receive it. Additionally we would be able to add name, rank and possible dates employed.

Notes and messages by CTC Class.
Idea #4
Adding old promotion lists. The previous manager of CHPStandings has old lists he is going to share with me. I’ll likely get those online for everyone.
Idea #5
Retiree flyers/announcements/ comment section for all ranks. I'm considering this so EVERYONE can stay up to date on upcoming retirements, active and retired.
